Dogs have probably been used in hunting and warfare since the paleolithic era, and their formal use in the US military began in World War I. This collection of mainly US Army Field manuals on dog training for various military roles seeks to show the great diversity of tasks dogs have been utilized for.

This unique historical collection is packed with over 800+ pages of specialized dog training knowledge. Starting with the U.S. War Dept. "War Dogs" training manual from 1943, they cover many of the specialized training techniques and methods to prepare a dog for service in battle, "Dog Transportation" is unique too...it goes into great detail on how sled dogs are trained, used and supported in snowy/arctic areas. You will not find a similar collection of k9 manuals with this great quantity or quality.
